free. It installs and manages an
Apache Web server,
PHP, and much more to come.
Why OpenConrolPanel?
Flexibility
Like many other Control Panels, OpenControlPanel is a very flexible Control
Panel. You have many choices and options that you may set.
Simplicity
Open Control Panel is a very simple to understand and operate
Control Panel, and if you can't figure something out there are many
tutorials, and a great documentation. And if you still can't figure
out how to do something you can always just contact us, we have some
of the best free customer supporting out there.
It's Free
Open Control Panel is absolutely free. There are absolutely no
cost to you, and you get this great control panel. It even comes with
the source code that you may modify and give away on your own website,
as long as you follow the
license.
Always Up-To-Date
Open Control Panel is always up to date with the latest versions
of great server software. Unlike many other Control Panels, which still
use old servers, and sell them to you for infinite times the cost of this,
with almost nothing up to date.
Problems with OpenControlPanel?
There are still a few problems with openControlPanel, because it is still
in its pre-alpha stage. Such as security. There are many security
threats, and there shall be until mod_ssl is added into the apache 2.0
configuration files. Another Problem so far is that no installation
programs have been built, meaning you must manually install all the
open source programs that we have included in the Control Panel.
